What are Moto-Maps and how do they “work”?
Moto-Maps are laminated, pocket-sized (approximately 6” x 4”) flip booklets that contain a collection of scenic rides for a particular geographic region – usually a State.  Almost all rides are loop rides that start and end at the same location.  The concept was to create a product that provided great rides AND could actually be used while on the bike - make it small, make it durable and make it easy to use.  We called it “biker-proof”.
The booklets are set up on a color-coded system.  The inside cover is your legend page.  It displays the geographic region covered in the booklet and shows all specific ride areas in different colors along with their start and end locations.  There is also a small table that corresponds to the color-coded ride area that displays the length of the ride and the approximate time it will take to complete (less stops, of course).
Each colored ride area from the legend page has a corresponding Ride Card.  The Ride Card has a matching hi-lited map route and title block.  The back side of the map has turn-by-turn directions for the hi-lited route.  Each Ride Card also list several points-of-interest along the way.  The phone numbers for these points-of-interest are listed on a separate card in the booklet… and are of course, color- coded to the Ride Card.

How many rides are in each Moto-Maps booklet?
Each Moto-Maps booklet contains seven Ride Cards and usually covers between 1000-1400 miles of suggested scenic riding.  Many Ride Cards have figure-eight routes or have suggested alternative roads so that you can lengthen or shorten the ride.  Most customers tell us they can get 14 to 21 rides out of each Moto-Maps booklet.

Are Moto-Maps sold in dealerships or retail stores?
Yes.  Moto-Maps are sold in dozens of dealerships around the country (primarily on the east coast).  We encourage people to support their local dealerships.  If you want to know who carries them in your area, just send us an email: sales@moto-maps.com. .  If your local shop doesn’t carry Moto-Maps, have them give us a call!

Why are the directions on the back of the map and not on the same page?
This was one of our toughest design choices when we created Moto-Maps.  We place the directions on the back of the map page because we wanted to create a removable “Ride Card”.  This allows the user to add or swap Ride Cards from different booklets to create their own booklet or to pull only the Ride Card that they are using for the day.  Some people use the map to navigate the ride, while others follow the step-by-step directions.

Our ring binding system also allows users to create their own rides, notes, or points-of-interest, on 3 x 5 cards and add them to the Moto-Maps booklet.

Yes.  We would love to have you share your travel pictures with us.  In the near future, we hope to add a section to our website where we can post them for all to see.  Send your best photos to: photos@moto-maps.com
